Formidable!
Et merci beaucoup. Ma Francais es mal mais je suis essay! (Poor spelling & grammar there I think...)
Loved my road trips through France. Alps, Pyrenees, Mont Ventoux, Gorges du Verdons, etc.
If you look around the forum here you might find stories of our legendary “French Frolic” trips of the last 15 years

Clermont Ferrand - is Charade (the circuit) not nearby? Bloody marvellous track.
Have done lots of track trips to France through the years with Lotus on Track (French Frolic)!

Yes, it's near Charade.
Many years ago this circuit was bigger and very fast.

In red the new track, in blue the old track and it's still an open road.
30 years ago, the new track was closed only with blocks of concret and saturday night with friends it's was easy to move rocks and to have a ride on it

yes weve bee to Charade a couple of times. One of my favourite tracks. We drove round the old track (road) last time we were there. We aslo went to a local ski resort, road up to it was great, also did a road that they run a local hillclimb up, if you didnt know you would wonder why there were so many barriers.
We also did a trackday 1 hour drive from Clarmont, it was a private chateaux and the owner had a private Ferrari collection and was friends of Enzo. Cant remember its name but was another great track.
Lovely part of the world.

Mas du Clos was the track Scotty.

2010 trip was epic:

The hillclimb is "Course de cote du Mont d'Or" very famous in France.

The private collection of Ferrari at Mas du Clos is the BARDINON collection (a lot of cars sold since Mr Bardinon is dead)
