S1 Steering Wheel

Rack out, gaters changed, but wheel 180 Deg. out!

Steering wheel nut has lock tabs, before I undo is it splined? or do I need to undo a UJ joint

Did you not mark the UJ before you removed the rack?

As long as the rack is centred you can just remove the wheel and turn it round. The column is splined.

p.s. You didn't take the rack out just to change the gaiters did you? That is easily possible with the rack in place. Half hour job.
