Cheaper S1 Elise Official Hardtop Bags?

Post by alcabs » Tue Feb 13, 2007 6:35 pm

Thought some of you might be interested in this:

I was on the web looking for suppliers of the Elise S1 hardtop bag - part no: A111B6165S and came across an old link to the Lotus Surplus Stock website:

http://www.lotussurplusstocksale.co.uk/ ... ductid=122

which lists this item at £89.35 (ex VAT and delivery of course), a considerable saving on the list price of £176 (£226 inc VAT and delivery from Bell & Colvill). Anyway, there was no "Add to Cart" button on the page so it was obviously an old one and not accessible from the main Surplus Stock Website. However, I decided to send an email off to them asking if they would sell me one at this price and a very nice woman called Delphine replied and set up the previously dead web page so I could purchase one. Result!

So, if any of you want to get a brand new Lotus S1 hardtop bag with £100+ off the retail price I think it would be worth your while contacting Lotus Surplus Stock (email address on the main web page) and ask nicely!
It was delivered yesterday and its the business.
:D

I ordered one when the offer came out about a year ago and lotus sent an S2 bag twice. it turned out that they were wrongly labeled in the factory.
hope you have more success though.

Still a rip off compared with my brand new non-Lotus one off ebay for £50, which is superb.

sorry matey, but i ordered one about a year ago as well. took the order and the money, then got back to me a week later and told me they were out of stock :( :( got the cash back though.

ended up getting one off ebay for £75 which was v lucky as they're normally about £100.
