Now the next stage - bluetooth headsets...

Post by rossybee » Thu Mar 01, 2007 2:04 pm

OK, got the phone (Nokia N73)

Now with the new laws, spose I best get a headset.

Am I best going for Nokia, or would any make do?

Any recommendations?

TIA :D

Any 'should' do, although my mate couldn't get his headset to pair with his Orange SPV for some reason. TBH, my headset sits in the car uncharged/unused, so don't really answer it when driving.

Thought about one of those Bluetooth loudspeaker things? Seen some taxi drivers use them at town speeds and they were quite good... £50 or so.

I'd go for a nokia. I've always had problems with headsets that are not the same make as the phone. My Plantronics headset will not auto-pair with my Orange SPV M500.

Done a wee bit of homework, and the Carphone Whorehouse seem to be offering this Motorola H350 at a crackingly good price... :D

Probably pop in tomorrow & buy one - unless anyone has any bad reports?

I got a JABRA BT500V Bluetooth headset as a pressie ages ago and have used it with Nokia and Motorola phones without any problems. Auto connects fine in my experience. I like the way it sits behind your ear rather than growing out of the ear. Carphone Warehouse doing them at £39.99 so maybe Rich might get a bit more of that.

For Visor Mounted (Not much use in an Elise I know) Bluetooth Kits the Movon MK10 is pretty good value. Fold down screen allow for easier viewing of incoming telephone number. Auto connects easily with my Motorola V3.
