s/c honda specs

Post by r10crw » Mon Mar 12, 2007 9:30 am

Did some mapping with corbie at the weekend and run into some problems with knock. Cant tell how grateful I am to corbie, if he hadnt come up Id have just put in a base map and thrashed its arse of probably fcuk it all up. So again a big thanks to Corbie.
With Corbie doing the logging yesterday we did quite a few runs and although shes far from right we did an exceptional third gear run. Starting off at 30mph we nailed the throttle, having done a few runs before we instantly knew something was wrong, accelerating much slower than before, then realizing I was in fifth decided to keep her going. At 130tuts we backed off.
Looking back at the log 30 - 130 in fifth took just over 15 seconds. So whilst shes got a long way to go shes certainly got around 300bhp presently. Incidently 20 - 100 takes around 7 seconds starting from third at 2k, so sub 8 to the ton is definitely possible.

Craig called around after work to take me out for my first run in the completed car.

Nobody would exactly call me a nervous driver, but it seems screams were heard coming out of the car of "let me out, please, please let me out, I am too young too die"

ie it is brutally quick, and with the hood up, back window out, a double ear plug job with the S/C screaming behind your ear. Plus I had his notebook on my lap for data logging, so probably slightly less scary in the drivers seat.

Put it on a fast track though, in the dry, and it should be something else.

So fundamentally it is a health hazard whichever way you look at it (or listen to it...or sit in it!)

Well done Craig. OK for Donnie then?! 3 hrs door to door for you eh!

Thanks guys, cant tell you how chuffed im with it. As tut says it is brutally quick and in all honesty is too quick for the road. Coming in to work this morning was mental, not supposed to be here for another 15mins. Probably takin her to donny but shes still knocking at certain points so probably wont be able to much of the runs. To miss the knock region youve to be tickling the throttle or caning its arse, nothing in between. Guess itll hae to wait for tt2007

No prob, when do you finnish?, ill be out around 4.45 so if we meet up at the bowling place where amanda put the roof on the mini? We could both drive out of town before it gets too busy, give you a quick run then youll be going in to town so shouldnt be to bad for traffic.

Particularly when the person is selling it for £30k. Either a muppet or some fibs somewhere. Sheesh.

14k + for the S/c honda
Nitrons + wheels + seats can not see how you could spend much more then 20K

See you there about 4.45.

Its not a bowling place its a indoor football place. (called ONE?)
