Interesting point - I have to say I fail to see the relevance of an 800HP uberbarge. All it does is rip tyres + transmission and fail to put the power down. All things to all men it isn't, so why bother? De-restrict the current M5 and I'm sure people would be happy with the 200+ mph that'll do.

The main use of a 800bhp car is to sit in the golf/health/squashclub car park being a 800bhp car then to totter home using 75bhp to move the car and its fat rich occupant who is happy and content until some other fat idiot turns up with a 850bhp car at which point it will be useless
