I've had my car for 4 years now and this is the 3rd time someone has driven into it. I can't put into words how I feel about this latest incident  and it would have been a sh*t thing to happen at any time, but as Scott said I've just managed to scrape enough cash together to get the car back on the road after being unemployed for the last 12 weeks so the timing ain't exactly great! Trouble is I've got a £400 excess and fixing it myself is not an option - rear clam is toast, front repairable but probably costly.

I thought someone had reversed into it at first but there was smashed glass lying on the ground and I noticed a hella logo so someone must have driven straight into it. I spoke to all the assistants in the nearby stores and only one woman said she heard a screech and bang at about 3 but was dealing with a customer so didn't look outside. I just can't believe nobody saw anything and that the CCTV cameras (the only reason I left it there) were pointing in the wrong direction at the time.

Will be parking it in Scotts street in future and I think the only undesirable in that street is Scott himself, and he'll be with me everyday so hopefully it'll be safe

Steve

It's bad enough that people scratch or ding cars and just leave, but to do that much damage is utterly dispicable. Did the cops have anything to say? They are usually very heavy handed with leaving the scene of an accident types, if they ever catch them....

If you want any help with any DIY rebuild just drop me a line

Oh and hello! :welcome

Oh so true - I've stopped caring about the paintwork (strangely) but when I did, I'd park at the opposite end of carparks with nothing parked in the whole bay.

99% of the time, you'd come back (even if only gone for 10 minutes) to find a big sh*tbox either side of you.....

I've started taking up two bays when parking sometimes, at least then if someone parks next to you and is reasonably in their bay there should be no reason to bang doors!

I normally dislike bad parking, but when it's to preserve your own car it's allowable

Can I just say, it's very sad to discuss parking habits. Really! Lotuses are not for parking, they are for driving!

didn't I just know that one would come back and bite me in the ar$e... some fecker has driven/reversed into the front of my car - not any cracks or dents, but nice scuffs at normal bumper height over the front clam. Hopefully they'll polish out.
