Assessing migration from original SE Yahoogroup to new BBS

I think the division is actually reducing steadily...to check who has now "arrived" from the SE1 community, I've created another poll.

I think that we now have all the founder members of SE1 posting on here Campbell, apart from Kevin Smart, who has not posted at all since March.

Great stuff.

Kevin has certainly been v quiet of late. He has mega commitments I think between family and business taking over the world ;-)

Of course there's a lot more to SE1 than the "founder members" and that's kind of what I'm hoping to explore with the new poll...we had a lot of great newbies in SE1 over the years (not least yourself!!!)

Actually, in a way SE2 has probably helped us on SE1.

There is no doubt that the postings have, and would have done anyway, dropped off an awful lot over the past year.

Although we used to get a lot of drivel posted by IanT, Shug, Scotty, Gareth, Gil, 4mm, ie the usual suspects, not including me of course, it was mostly entertaining and mixed well with the more serious stuff that the Mekon IQ's posted.

SE2 is a mix of both, and has certainly proved to be a big success over its short life.

Neil

Sincere apologies. I have just checked all your posts on SE1, and they were indeed serious missives, and I should have not lumped you in with the usual suspects.

Just shows you that you should be careful with the company that you keep.

So, at time of writing, just 12% of those who used to post to SE1 and are now here on SE2, find themselves posting any less than they used to on SE1.

Very encouraging.

Of course, the 250 posts that I have made on here over the weekend, means that I did not send much on SE1, so the volume on there has been even more down.

ps sighs in the background of "thank god.........."
