There's no doubt about it, Lotus's etc are dangerous cars. Let the insurance sort it out and have a think about what your going to do next.

With respect mate, that's f*cking nonsense :) They don't mollycoddle you like most modern electronically dumbed down motors do, but they will protect you when you run out of talent or luck
Was gonna post the same. No cars are dangerous. Just drivers.

You need to be carefull saying things like that,

These cars are fast, light weight with no assists and its very easy to get out of shape. What I meant was it's easier to crash an Elise (when you do the wrong things) than most other cars.

Was actually just popping back on to edit my post as I in no way meant to infer that anyone had been driving dangerously.

Your clarifiction makes more sense, however I wouldn't say it is very easy to get an Elise out of shape, depending on the conditions, althought the way I see it is if it is slippy enough to get the back end stepping out on an Elise without provocation then you are just as likely to understeer off into a tree in an Audi/BM/Merc if driving in the same manner.

I have been driving Elises for ~7 years now from 120bhp cars to 400bhp cars and have never thought one to be dangerous.
