Was actually just popping back on to edit my post as I in no way meant to infer that anyone had been driving dangerously.
Your clarifiction makes more sense, however I wouldn't say it is very easy to get an Elise out of shape, depending on the conditions, althought the way I see it is if it is slippy enough to get the back end stepping out on an Elise without provocation then you are just as likely to understeer off into a tree in an Audi/BM/Merc if driving in the same manner.
I have been driving Elises for ~7 years now from 120bhp cars to 400bhp cars and have never thought one to be dangerous.
