I drove up the A90 last summer in the worst torrential rain I've ever seen, must have been a couple of inches across both lanes in places. Slowed down to 35/40 while everyone else just kept booting it past me. Never been so petrified in my life, waiting for someone to ram me in the poor visibility. I guess they were all laughing at the pussy in the sports car, but I don't give a sh1t. The good thing about an Elise is that you don't feel isolated from the environment as you do in most everyday cars, therefore you don't get a false sense of security.

I remember driving at 20-25mph along the M8 to work one morning in similar torrential rain, being passed by lorries, vans, etc. Visibility was non-existant and I was that "pussy in the sports car" I laughed when I passed another Elise (Mr Spook on here I think) who was doiung 20mph!
We both made it to work in one piece - unlike the few "normal cars" who'd spun off!
Be careful out there!
