Appearing at Haddington Sherriff Coart the above admitted the offence, his soliciter said his client enployed as a van driver needed to keep working to keep him away from thoughts of depression...
The lawyer told the sheriff that his client aged 27 would be banned from driving under the totting up system if he recevied mor than 9 points or more.
The main thing that keeps him on his toes and away from thoughts of depression are his family and his work, his mental health relises on his driving licance and work .
Of the incident, it appears to be a momentary lapse of judgment
sheriff fined ***** ********** £300 and added 8 points to his licance
with a degree of hesitation..
Aye right sheriff.... and I get the same fine and banned for a year on a clean licance with a resit for an extra 7 mph in a 60mph the same as this young gent..
