Nope, the front splitter came in today and the high heid yin phoned me to say that it should be finished by 5pm. He phoned back around 4 to say it was all back together but one of the headlights wasnt quite flush with the clamshell and they were taking the clam back off to adjust it.

I knew they were going to be pushing it to get it back today, so albeit a bit frustrated, I am happy to give them time to get it right. They know I am not going to accept the car back if it isnt so not much point in pushing any harder at this stage.

Car should be ready 10am tomorrow so it will be a good excuse for an extended lunch hour to pick it up and go for a text drive.

Just as well my bosses are all petrolheads

ps might blow off the cobwebs at the top marques at Knockers if its dry :D

Sounds like a bit of mishinformation. The headlamps are fitted and adjusted by taking the front wheel arch liner out - certainly no need to move the clam.

At least nothing makes you appreciated a Lotus more than not driving it for a while, so enjoy!

Happy to say my car is now home safe and sound and despite the length of time taken to get it fixed I have to say they did a good job.
Feels good to be back to normal again.

Gave it a thorough test drive last night so my nice new freshly painted clam is now covered in dead flies and some rather large and impressive blood splatters.
S'pose I'd better think about cleaning it at some point.
