It made it home safely...350 miles of dull motorway in the rain including an hour long tailback...I'm really pleased with it

IIRC, those little wing grills denoted the 3 litre cars on the last of the W124s. I don't think any W124s were supercharged, although I may be wrong (amateur geek).BigD wrote:Nice S1. Looks tidy.

Wing grilles were fitted to the last of the the line OM 606 multivalve diesel cars.
No supercharged W124's,but the OM606 was available in Europe and North America with a turbo option.
We never got it due to difficulties with packaging due to RHD steering box.
