I only started climbing in March so not been doing it long. I fancy a trip down to Ratho sometime though if you'd be interested.

I have been to Ratho climbing centre twice. Very impressive place. Good high climbs, however not very many for the intermeadiate climber. We could only find very basic climbing or lots of expert stuff, with very few climbs for folk of my ability. From what I have seen (at glasgow climbing centre) most folk are at the intermeadiate level.

I can confirm he was still alive and able to walk at 6pm last night when he dropped me off. He didnt even look out of breath.

Anyone been to http://www.ice-factor.com at Kinlochleven (near Glencoe)

As above, Ratho is shut till 13th November, Edinburgh council seem to be involved now, and the website mentions "major building works." :o

Can't do this weekend as I'm on call and shouldn't really even be at KH. But once Ratho is open again we can have a go there :D

What sort of height are the walls at Ratho anyway? Only got a 30m rope for leading, not sure if that's long enough for there :?
