Not for long though, it dried up soon after the start so off it came.

Had a great two hours, car was going beautifully both on the straights and corners. I thought that the six year old Bridgestones on the rear would be a drawback, but that was the fastest I have ever gone in the wet, and then in the dry they were lasting well for lap after lap, and were then fun when they went off.

There was a bit of a shortage of fast cars in numbers, but the Murciélago, Ultima GTR, and a 285hhp, lightweight, racing Morgan made up for that.

Had a great lapping session with the Lambo, first time that I have seen one driven flat out and not just posing, and he stayed out as long as I did. Identical acceleration and speed on the straights, but I had the edge lower down, and passed him at the hairpin exit. We were out together in both the wet and the dry, though he probably has some trick engineeering as I thought that he would be slower in the wet. Do they have four wheel drive?

Also lapped with the Ultima, same lapping speed, but he was pulling away on the straights and sounded fantastic. Ferrari 550 was out of it, but a pity that I only met up with the Morgan in the last five minutes, as we had five really good laps together, and as we could hardly be black flagged, and there was not much traffic, we used the free overtaking rules.

So that is the last three track sessions that I have spent most of the time on the track, and that I have driven home from.

Which obviously means trouble is just around the corner, just wish I knew where from.

ps Excellent quality photos Steve, do you have one with the Lambo and me nose to tail?

Lambo does indeed have 4 wheel drive :)

Was the Morgan Ali Hunter's new red one that he was racing at the weekend?

I can just catch a glimpse of my car passing the s1 exige...

was a really good night, tut your car was scary how quick you got away from me on the corners and straights.

Would have liked to stay out longer but cooked the brake fluid three times...

Forgot to mention that Phil was also one of the fastest cars out there in his Evo, but was having brake problems.

Phil

Kept looking out for you for the pax laps that you wanted, but you always seemed to be with your car. If you had really pushed me, I would have also taken your rather tasty girlfriend out<BG>

Brian

I was talking to the Morgan driver, but do not know his name, however Iain Boag does. His car is in the photos, No 1. He trailers it in a very smart outfit with "Defendall" all over it, so presume that is his company.

There was a red Morgan there with roll bar etc, but not very quick. Also a yellowish one, quick but way down on the Defendall. I think that one had a V6 Jag engine in it.

Russell Paterson, your right about Defendall. Really nice guy a good friend of Paul G and Ian Boagg.
