TANGO R - Full race report

Post by jamie » Wed Jun 13, 2007 7:41 pm

Well after 39 days without Tango tomorrow I get her back 8)

Bit of a relief to hear its all coming together at the last min after so many issues.

First time on track with Tango will now be Qualifying on Saturday  Also looks like it will be a wet one too. Talk about in at the deep end!

Dan was kind enough to let me use his car to at least get a few laps in on Monday so I know where the corners are. Managed 8 laps so have an idea of where it goes. Thanks Dan!

I guess my main issue will be getting a decent set-up on the Nitrons - will have a guess and then make tweaks for the races.

Will let you know how it goes tomorrow and add some pics of Tango in her racing livery 8)

That is all for now :D

All the best for your debut and also hope the others can keep bringing the silver back to Scotland.

Looking forward to Cadwell to hear all the stories :)

Good luck mate and cheers for the call yesterday!

I was praying it wasn't a call to say you werent going to make Silverstone.

If you were going to go straight in to a race this is the track to do it on with an almighty 6 whole corners!

Would really love to. Been keeping an eye on the regs for the last 12 months. Fitted the SD full cage recently to get back into hillclimbing in the Modified sports car class, but would only need a transponder and cut-out to meet Class C regs... oh and another 80bhp would be useful too.

Not sure how welcome another VX220 would be in the current series though. Probably enter a few SMRC Sports Car races later in the year at Knockhill and see how the land lies with next years LOTRDC regs.

Really enjoying keeping up with the progress of the TSE cars in the meantime. Good luck to everyone at Silverstone.
Red VX220 Turbo - slightly modified :-)

Thorneys hoping to have his Class C vx220 back on the track this weekend at Silverstone.

You may be struggling to get in to any rounds through the end of the season now due to popularity though :D

Good luck with the hillclimbs
