My passenger "was holding her helmet as if it was going to come off and had long hair blowing about" or so the flag man told me.

Admitadly it does feel as if your head is going to be pulled off in the Atom because of the aerodynamic helmet lift, so for her to be holding on to it was not unreasonable.....

Any comment on helmet lift & head pulling off anyone? I won't make any because I can't remember who the lady in question was and would hate to offend.

I think they had it in for me after the two spins in two laps earlier on.

Sanjoy knows about me sucking his helmet off, but that's due to him being a lofty fella and being "more in the airflow" in the 7

As Dave said, ill-fitting lid sounds the most probable cause, plus was she wearing a chin strap?
