Guys - whats the plans for heading south?

I'm having lunch with my parents in the Borders, about 2 miles off the A68, so was going to suggest meeting there (just outside Earlston), Carter Bar, or alternatively somewhere off the A1.

Not wanting to spend any more time than neccesary waiting around though? Could just meet at the hotel for beers - thoughts?

Paul

I will check with the hotel.

Andy

I can fit in with any timing, but always prefer to get there earlyish rather than late. The A68 by Earlston is on the route anyway.

Old Deer - Louth is 430 miles, Earlston - Louth is 245 miles.

Do you know if hotel still has space? Thinking about coming down as pax slag.
I was able to change a single to a twin yesterday. Jaci is coming with me.

Try and call the hotel the girl I spoke to was very helpful. 01507 603657

Paul

Sharon is not on until 1500, so I will sort it out with her then.

As Scotty was in a single and has changed to a twin, that should leave it available for you, or there could be a spare in one of the tripple rooms if it has gone.

Scotty

Final bookings are for:-

Room 1 triple Paul, Iain, Brian
Room 2 triple Ed, Jamie, Andy
Room 3 double Scotty & Jaci
Room 5 double tut & ?

The other two rooms in the Hotel are Rooms 4 & 6 singles, which are other bookings.

Schooomer just pm'd me to say that his GT3 is in for a photoshoot, so only has his Punto, and may not bother.

Just found this about the Pub on BestPub.co.uk sounds like Mr Stein did not get anywhere with that barmaid
Thankfully there are positive reviews too

mr stein - shambles
the staff are unwilling to help, too busy chatting among themselves or their friends. manners would help. food was ok, nothing special not highly recommended unless starving or everywhere else closed

Guys, I am taking a Transit van down as the tow vehicle, so if anybody wants wheels/tools etc taken down, there is plenty of room.

Jamie

We will not be eating, or even drinking in the Hotel, tis just a bed for the night.

The centre of Louth is just down the road.
