Good night, glad it stayed dry but there was a bunch of total muppets on track tonight. Some people seem to have a huge problem in letting the little plastic cars past despite being sooo much slower even with their masses of power :thumbsdown

Still, good fun was had :)

A quote from Paul in the Silver Lambo Murcialago..

bit too busy for the Murci and felt it was holding back the wee cars in the twisty bits which isn't fun for them.

Quite enlightened I thought ;)

There were a few cars that would pull over but not back off on straights (certainly not all though). Lack of supercharger becomes frustrating when this happens, need an extra 100hp or so. Maybe they need to mention this at briefing although you would think it would be obvious. Not particularly impressed with the old Cossie at hairpin.
But despite this, I enjoyed it and found large gaps in traffic where I could circulate in muppet-free zone for extended periods.

Vids

http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_1.avi - InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Nova, Integra, Elise, Noble, Impreza, 911, kit car. The impreza seems to love racing on straights. Was behind him a few times, but he was running quicker on the straights but much slower on the corners LOL
and

Car was handlign well with its new front discs, but developed a horrible blue smoke from the exhaust... i hope its a turbo, not the engine.

See http://trackscotland.co.uk/forums/viewt ... ?p=976#976

Hope it didnt hold anyone up in the skyboat whilst trying to solve a few problems on track.... spent about 60% of the time on 'cool down' laps. Its smoking, its not, somethings catching/rubbing, its not LOL.

Looks like the porker will have to be used at the crail trackday now

Have to agree with Simon about the traffic, the only one that really held me up was the black M something (BMW what do you expect) but it helped me with trying different lines and trying to get better drive out the corner so wasn't all bad.

I eventually waved to the guy (Gareth Hunt Nescafe style) which I think pissed him off a bit - so much so that he nearly span off at the next corner - bet he was thanking his electronics for keeping him on the blackstuff.

Most other folk moved over in a lap or so - perhaps the thought of the cheap wee racer sitting so close to the back of their car made them think twice :D

Cheers to Dezzy for his pit wall work - getting quicker but there's still at least a few seconds left in the car before it's the driver slowing it down.
