Hi

Sorry to come back to you all so quickly.

Speed Ferries have made an offer so that we can get all those who wanted to depart 10.40am on 7/8 on that crossing without it being silly money. This still means we have to sort a return elsewhere, but this should be easier as cars split up into smaller groups coming back.

Could you please let me have your:-

CAR TYPE

CAR REGISTRATION

PASSENGER NAME

GROUP YOU ARE TRAVELLING IN

ASAP as they have 30 odd places left and we need a dozen more of them..

i think we all want to be on the 10.40am crossing that paul is talkign about. that gives us all day monday to get to the ferry, and all day tuesday to get to dijon.

so if people want to reply to Pauls email, with the info he needs, and tell him your in the scottish elises group with McApe.

Also, return ferry.

It would help paul out, if we can all return on either the monday night at 11.55pm or on the tuesday morning at 9.50am.

either way, we might get some laps on the sunday night, and we get from 1pm til 7pm on the monday. then either mad dash for the ferry, or relaxed drive to somewhere, to give a short hop on tuesday morning ferry.

If everybody replies to pauls email about outgoing crossings, and posts up here about preffered return crossings, that would help paul out too.

cheers

I've asked for the original 10am 7/8 crossing on the way out and a 10am return on tuesday 14/8 as a return, but indicated that I can be flexible, so I'm sure something will work out.

I spoke to Kelvin and he's up for Sunday/Monday ring extension with a return to blighty on the Tuesday morning. Also had clearance from HQ, so it's a green light for the ring - now, where shall we stay at the ring?

Kelvin & I would prefer to stay Sunday night only, then do some or all of the journey to the channel on the evening and stay in a cheez-o-tel somewhere within striking range of the ports.

Cheers,
Robin

No, that was a second email I meant to send to just Paul, realised I pressed reply-all instead of reply, then to add insult to incompetence I pressed send instead of cancel. Cock. Sorry :-) I did manage to send two other emails to just Paul!

I don't drive in convoy on motorways, French or otherwise, if I can help it, so while I am more than happy to all do the same thing, I prefer to just make my own way between RVs, if that's OK.

You'll have a navigator so you shouldn't get too lost - I may take my laptop, but more likely I'll just use the excellent Michelin maps, committed to memory before we leave ;-)

Cheers,
Robin

I am still tempted to visit Mt Ventoux before heading to the ring, except on a Sunday in August it will be kerb-to-kerb lycra ;-)

I have no intention on cutting the trip short so we'll be coming back on the later date. I suspect Robbie will do the same when he gets to read this but as he may be working away I'll try and phone him.
