Easily do-able.

Time depends on how much driving you want to do each, each day, and how 'quick' you drive there.

How much fuel will depend on how heavy your right foot is and what route you take.

And the Pyrenees are meant to be good fun too 8)
Green Subaru Impreza Turbo, a 'classic'.

Silver Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD, on SORN spec...

We would probably stop for a few hours in London and Paris, otherwise more or less push on. We would time it so we could be in both London and Paris at "decent" hours.

Around 3 days i'd say.
Day 1 Edinburgh - Dover
Day 2 Dover - Most of france
Day 3 Most of France - Barcleona

Drove down to Venice last year via Swiss Alps. Depends how hard you want to go at, and if you just want to get to Barcleona, or see stuff on the way.
No, No! not Bloke. It's pronounced Black, as in Plaque

3 days is a no go....non stop driving would be 21 hours, I a talking maybe 4 hours allowing for London and Paris, otherwise Barcelona is the target.

Loads of reasons - staying in a mates villa, so would need a hirecar anyway, the "roadtrip" factor, the "see a bit of the world" factor.

Me future Missus having none of it. Im scared sh1tless of flying, and trying to let her see the good side of the drive...not going to happen I don't think. Flights are booked, it's our honeymoon. Looking for something to inspire her to ditch the plane and take the Lotus...

Wishful thinking :?

My mate drove to Morrocco via Barcelona on his bike and I think went from the South of England to the North of Spain which gave hime a break from driving before big pushes.

Road trip & seeing the world, thats my main motivation other than fear of death in a plane 8)

I did Plymouth to Santander a couple of years ago on the bike. Still looking at a couple of days though. The worst bit is getting to/from Plymouth. :?

Northern Spain is a fantastic part of the world with excellent roads.

On the way back my mate took the chain off his bike and had the RAC drive him home while he slept in the back of the cab.
