Was that MMC Scotty - just worth clarifying that it wasn't with Scottish Lotus Specialists!

Delighted to hear that we finally have an independent specialist, well past time as is obvious from all the things which need attended to on my car.

Have you managed to sort out a relationship with a garage which we can all trust to do MOT’s. It would be good to be able to hand the car to you, get it serviced and have you pass it on to an MOT guy who won’t put a trolley jack through the sill.

You will be hearing from me.

Best of luck.
Graham

Good luck Ali
If there's anything I can do from a setting up a company point of view - to basic accounts/bookkeeping layouts - give me a shout!

Cheers

Great news - about time we had a local independent specialist and about time MMC got a big wake up call about their absolutely ridiculous service prices :thumbsup

Absolutely fantastic news Ali! I'll be giving you a shout in another 3,000 miles time (probably quite soon!) for my next service. :thumbsup

Will Lotus certify you as an "official" specialist or is that just left for dealers?

Hi Ali

Only joined Scottish Elises yesterday and searching for an alternative place to service my Elise was how I found this site. I was looking for a specialist for an A service that was due on my '03 S2 and couldn't find anywhere. Really wasn't keen on paying MMC prices for an oil change when car has only done 2k miles in last year.

Will be keeping an eye out for your next update as you almost certainly have a customer here for next time..

Nice one Ali... good on you for having the balls to go solo after 11yrs of employment. Thats a big decision regardless what line of business you are in. By the sounds of the replies, you are going to be on to a winner there, and some healthy competition for the big Dealers can only be a good thing IMO.

Still got 6mths before I need a service... but it'll be 4yrs, so A + belts... very interested to find out your prices, as I was likely going to use MMC or Dreadnought.

All the best, Andy.

Other than the lack of money, one reason I am put off buying an Elise is the limited garages that I would be happy for it to get fixed. This is great news, will refocus me on getting one now.
24 hours in a day. 24 beers in a case ... coincidence?
