I've now got the big day organised. 28th July. Insurance sorted, flight to Birmingham for £3.95 can't wait. 285 miles to re-live the memories. Just got to find the back roads now!

Do you guys organise a club track day at all, cos I've been told it's free on the insurance if it is a club day, but £50 if not. Give Dave a wee race eh!

We usually go to the SIDC club days. The one on Sat 28th July is full, but has a reserve list, but there's another later in the year. There's also an Alfa club night on 24th August. See trackdays section. We're not technically a "club", so it wouldn't count as a club day if we organised it ourselves.

Who did you go with for the insurance? That sounds like a good deal for trackdays.

I take it thats with Heritage?

As Dezzy says we do the SIDC days which count as a club, although you have to join the club ie. pay them the money, its in the small print as I asked them about this when phoning round. Its not dear, £35 for the year IIRC and that gets you discounts at teh trackdays so if you do a few it works out the same price.

Most of the regular trackdayers are also members of Lotus on Track which will get you free insurance at their days as well.

No cover for the likes of Hot Marques or if we were to arrange our own day as we did at Teesside.

A Plan - are just the brokers AFAIK - I'm with a plan but the insurance is through some other crowd. My A plan policy doesn't cover trackdays either

Yeah but are the services of you or your learned friends not required - and at great expense?
