Tut
Russell Paterson
Morgan Challenge winner 2005/2006
Used to race Chevrons/March way back in the seventies when Father Gibson and I were campaigning in the Scottish Rally Championship and Scottish Sprint Events at Ingliston
Gave me a go for a few laps.....
285BHP with unbelievable torque/grip/brakes.....carrying 130 tuts under the bridge and ninety plus into duffus
Eats brakes at KH....... as the bias is set forward to save the drum brakes at the rear!!
The Yellow one was another challenge car driven by a man from Devon (Paul) who is even older than you Tut!

I was chatting to Russell the other week, he told me he doesn't really enjoy normal trackdays, he just goes along to show up the so called sportscars in his wooden chassied barge

(his words).

Turned out to be a good night at KH after the rain

on the way up. First few laps were slippy until it started to dry then the conditions were great.
The Morgan's were erm

, think they'll still be going round

Saw one of the KH instructors going out as a pax and the look on his face was a classic. Racers were quick though
Tut was getting stuck in to the supercar fraternity as he does. The Lambo was getting a bit of wellie from it's owner even in the rain.

To be fair, a large percentage of the people there last night had never been on track before. The night was shared by the Morgan crowd and Monklands Sporting Car Club. It was always our intention at MSCC that it would not be a scary fast night.
While I'm on.
Very very special thanks to Tut.
He gave a mate of mine some nice quick passenger laps and it was a really special experience for him. About 6 months ago he was diagnosed with Leukemia and is only now coming out of the woods. This was one of those days that may never have happened, so it was extra sweet.
You're a good Man sir.

I never got chance to talk to him out of the car, but glad that he enjoyed the run and that his future is looking brighter now.
One thing different than normal was that I was pulling into the pits and offering to take paxs, but there were very few takers. Even asked an Instructor to come out and he said no way.
I must have BO............

Paul
Time Attack is just like a sprint but watched by the Shell Suit Massive
I always try and learn one new thing per day........and this thread has provided two items!!
There is a Monklands Motor Club?
And your gem from the above
However I am now getting disturbing pictures in my head of a familiar face clothed in white tracky bottoms/huge trainers driving a black GT3.......TELL ME IT ISN'T TRUE

Tut,
You'll be up to speed with what Time Attack is from Kenny's post. An 850bhp Scoobie won't be a problem to you

Sorry tut, no photos of you and the lambo tangling. I was probably on a recce mission in the pits or having a fag!
Phil, i thought i recognised the yellow evo from picking up my new wheels from jj's swap shop, but wasnt sure... And there was me thinking i might airbrush the evo out

If i'd known it was someone from round here i'd have got a few snaps...
There's a few more photos here if anyone fancies a browse...
