depends on budget I guess, and how often/serious you are wanting to get. I'm happy with my Bell lid, but my wife just got one from a motorbike shop.

The Simpsons lids seem to be quite popular also.

Not going to take it too seriously, YET. Happy to spend £200 to £300 for something that I will be happy with IF I get serious.

Also need to find a new insurer, not wanting to spend £100 every time I go out.

Dave,

Did you photoshop the bandit bit onto the helment?

P.S There is a place on Queen street Charlotte Square end that does a good range.

£200-£300 will get you a decent lid then.. think the Simpsons Bandit might be just out of reach though. You can get a Bell for that kinda price though.

Have a quick look on demon-tweaks for an idea of models & prices. If paying that sort of money, you'll preferably want a helmet with Snell SA2000 (or the newer one... might be 2005??)

HTH...

PS. there was a thread beinng run for a helmet painting group buy but it seems to have died of death

fit is the most important thing, so try lots on. It should be tight but comfortable.

Okay,

I called and the guy said "All our helmets are designed to the same standard"...

Can someone help?:

I just presumed those are all Motorcycle helmets. Is there a distinction between track(car) and motorcycle lids?
