so tell me then - how can the new Kelloges Multi-Grain "Cornflakes" be called cornflakes if there's more than just corn in them???


I'm a oaty person - Scott's with a splash or two of cold milk.

If it can't rippen in our climate then it's no good to me!

had to switch from cornflakes or porridge with plenty of golden syrup to toat :( when i discovered i was lactose intollerant.

Muesli, Oatibix or Oats-so-Simple for me.... assuming I'm not heading down to Costa for coffee/muffin.

... apart from today, where I jumped in the car and headed to the Gyle for a Bacon Butty & Sausage Butty with Filter coffee from Mathiesons... just so I can be called 'Dear' by someone who appeared younger than me.

My 6 Weetabix technique involved stacking 5 on their side with the 6th on its side running perpendicular. Milk could then be poured on until level full - wait for sookage then top up.
Small bowls reguired more sophisticated stacking techniques...

Critical was application of sugar after the milk as otherwise the milk would wash it all off into the bottom of the bowl.

Sainsbury's muesli, fruit & nut (not the all fruit one - it sucks).

Orange juice or Apple&Mango juice on top, no milk, obviously.

Coffee if Katie is boiling the kettle (but only instant - cannot be bothered with proper coffee :-)).

soggy weetabix is the devil spawn.. 2 at a time max, and eat them quick before too much sookage occurs...

i'm with you on the milk then the sugar though. Nothing worse than losing the sugar all down the sides... :wink:

Soggy weetabix that has suffered from to much sookage really is the spawn, it has to we wet but retain it's crunch and the light suger coating post milk is a must and again no fruit or yogurt

it's a fine balance to dry is just as bad as to soggy thats why I use a 2 step milk process,

5mm of milk
sook
refill to 5mm deep
milk must be poured over the weetabix evenly so you dont get dry ends
