The move was hard but fair, and good to watch, wish their was more of it, as after that I fell asleep.jamie wrote:He did look a bit cheesed off when he got out the car. But as far as the move goes I have seen worse and think Lewis has used similar moves on Massa this year so think he should MTFUGareth wrote:I see Hamilton has spat the dummy about Alonso "running him off the track.."

"Bending the rules" goes on in racing at all levels...
As for driver changes - Agree...Alonso's position at McLaren looks untenable...But where would he go...?
Need to be a top / up and coming team -
BMW - Kubica will stay, and Heidfield has raised his game to match him / beat him, so wouldn't make sense to cut him free...They're probably planning to replace him with Vettel in a year or two...
Ferrari - They paid a fortune for Kimi, so will hold onto him for a bit...Massa is a loyal sevant, with the pace to match on a good day...Ferrari don't seem to like having two 'dominant character' drivers in the team...Alonso would be moaning about Kimi's 'preferential treatment'...
I guess his main options are:
Toyota - Ralf / Jarno haven't exactly set the heather alight, so one could go...Mega budget, huge potential if they get the management structure sorted...Bit like Ferrari when Schumacher first joined them...Alonso might be willing to sacrifice his title hopes for the next two years in order to build a team around him a la Michael, and dominate F1...
or
Renault - Fisichella's time may be up...Backwards step...But he got on with Flavio far better than he does with Ron...Would they want him...?
Final option is to pip Lewis at the post, and retire triple world champion...
Rosberg in the vacated McLaren seat would be excellent - He's probably not far off Hamilton's ability...FW would sell his contract, at the right price...Do McLaren have enough left in their coffers after the fine...?
Who knows...???

Alonso to Renault again.
McLaren SHOULD have tied up the services of Kubica but they've missed that boat for a season or two - after that they'll likely get Rosberg which is a good move.
I can see Adrian Sutil going to McLaren at some point in the not so distant future......
(bear in mind also that he's cheap........)

Mair throttle, less brake
Im not a big Hammy fan ( don't get me wrong he has talent) the English media has put me right off.Gareth wrote:I see Hamilton has spat the dummy about Alonso "running him off the track.."
I think F1 was has been amazing this year...probably thanks to the rivalry between Alonso and Hamilton. Alonso will not be at Mclaren next year...perhaps Ferrari or maybe BMW
BUT if you look at the first corner again Alonso goes for him, there was plenty room for both of them on track. Saying that Hammy been bullied up en rouge was class by Alonso.
I did 2 days at Spa last year and at the start of day 1, I was doing 90mph up en rouge at the end I think about 120 must be mind blowing 190 mph.
I know they were talking about how much G there are pulling at the bottom of en rouge but I am a bit puzzled with the amount of down force they are getting at the top. Some of the cars following in dirty air must not be getting any at all and at close to 200mph and having to make that corner I am amazed that there isn’t any more spin off’s.
Can someone please explain???

Meanwhile the FIA have issued a pdf detailing the events of last week with the very important details all blacked out....
things like designer's salary
brake balance mechanisms actuation
secret gas in tyres
but as any school kid knows if you copy the blacked out words into notepad.........
and they call themselves responsible

CO2
double-rear master cylinder with a spring, which initially delays rear
braking, then increases it gradually
We get the same results using a valve
to move the weight forward
take some weight from the gearbox.
300 000 to 400 000
and they call themselves responsible

Makes an interesting read/scan. There's still no definate commitment in the FIA's findings that McLaren actually had anything on their car - and they don't seem aprticularly interested in looking at this yr's car either. Despite Mosley's strong objections to phrases like 'witch hunt'... it does still stink slightly.
I know one thing... I would never want to be a defence witness infront of Nigel Tozzi
So next season all the teams will have springs with their rear master cylinders after reading the transcript. Except McLaren of course. Cos if they did, they'd get disqualified
What a sorry mess.
