bit of a heavy lump to be using, would sound good on song but there have to be better conversions that that.

There are already 30cars out there with audi conversions and by all accounts they are pretty good - dutch Bob was at Knockhill for the TT trackday and it was fairly nippy.

'Tis heavy, but lots about and mega power. As JJ says, you get the point when you see Bob's in full song.

Not the one I'd choose, all the same, but horses for courses.

Again, the Duratec conversions used the original PG1 gearbox (which can't handle huge amounts of torque) Geary (Eliseparts) stopped manufacture of the kits too, was stressing him to death, dealing with it.

Shame, as Lotus Ford has a ring to it... 8)

Just to lower the tone I'm trying to upload a picture of a hellish Mk5 escort cabriolet with a green lotus stripe. Shame I can't share it with you I'm sure it would have topped that cortina.

Do you think you could fit a 3.8 flat 6 from a boxter, all the benefits of a nice growl without needing to be seen alive in a porsche.

Would you still be able to take the soft top off if it was a porsche at heart...
