Think about it... they did it with the pontiac fiero thingy..

Perfect chassis as a base. And if it looked good and the price/quality was reasonable you would have a viable alternative for rebuilding accident damaged cars.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

I thought it was the Vx220?

Seriously a kit car is normally a load of plastic stuck on a chassis which sounds like well an elise

John, have you got too much time on your hands today??

Why make an elise kit car? It virtually already is!

What started this off was looking at the price of the motor sport body kit on elise parts.... bloody expensive if you ask me...

Ive seen complete kit car kits for less than that.

Know where you are coming from my ears pricked up when you mentioned the motorsport kit, it does look kinda cool. but it is a little bit pricey :( but look what lotus ended up with when they tried to improve on the S1.... the S2! just doesn't cut it:P

Wrong! They made this

The s2 is a good looking car, and definately better designed than the S1 - far fewer annoying faults.

Bottom line...........

The S1 will be a classic, the S2 never will be.

The best looking car, if you can live with a tin top, was the S1 Exige.

End of discussion.
