On a dissapointing week, after having to list the RLC for sale, and having decided to retire from the Elise Trophy for the season, i got some good news.
No the Atom is not ready yet.
Sony are taking me to Bedford Autodrome to do a Palmer day. They have already called to ask if i have a race license so "they can push me harder!".
Cars on hand for the day are;
New race prepped Jag XKR
Caterham Sprint Car
Palmer Jag JP1
Landy Defender
Clio Cup Racer
Formula Palmer Audi
911 JP3
Caterham 7 Superlight
I fly down south on Monday, come back Wednesday.
Now, off to phone Ariel

AMG GT-R
Atom 4 - CM425
Lotus Esprit S4S
G30 M5 Comp
Ferrari 599

Lucky Barsteward!
Sounds like an odd mix of cars to be racing. Hope you get the Landy

... might give the others a chance

Lucky swine Andy!
Always fancied a shot in one of those - that's the 3.0 V6 thing, yeah?

Nice one Andy.
One of the few disadvantages of being retired, I do not get the Oil company and VIP invites anymore.
Have fun, and make sure you put one into the gravel on the warm up laps just to show them that you are pushing it.

Hi Andy,
You will absolutely love it. Very, very well organised and excellent instruction and they allow you to push the cars to the absolute max and more as there is so much run-off and space.
The Caterham head to head challenge is a laugh and the supercharged XKR's make a really strange exhaust note but are awesomely fast around 130mph down the back straight before hitting a few tight corners.
Highlight though are the 2 seater JP1's 0-100 in 6.5s - rapid!!! Gets very hot in the drivers area.
I was getting rather moist with excitement in all of them though and apparantly the Stig works there from time to time as well.
Pray for good weather and you will love it !!
Cheers
Jamie

Nice to hear there are days like this where you're actually allowed to properly use the cars

Best not go Andy. You'll only be dissapointed with the Atom after a run in the Formula Palmer Audi; best plan is I'll take your place on it, that way you'll be able to really appreciate the Atom
