Landy is the best, loads of pollution, no tax at all
Should go down as the car gets older as disposing of an old one and buying a newly built car creates far more pollution than keeping an old one does!

Article in Autocar last week - Elise is actually greener than a Prius and is IIRC about the 5th greenest car currently in production !!!
Calculated on co2 taken to produce, mpg, emissions and how re-cyclable it is.
So that's
to all the greenies who bleat on about sports cars damaging the environment.

Cars prior to 1st March 2001 are based on engine size. That is <>1549cc. Cars after that date are on a sliding scale depending on C02 emissions.
Here for the cut off points http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Ow ... G_10012524
And here to find out how much your car produces
http://www.smmt.co.uk/co2/co2search.cfm
Standard 1.8 Elise 96-04 is 168 g/kg BTW.
Which means that a car registered prior to 1st march 01 is £180 and after march 01 is £165.
Read the same article as j2 lot in Autocar and was quite surprised by the outcome.
