East Fortune Interest

Post by simon » Fri Mar 10, 2006 11:57 pm

Right, we need to have a rough idea of number who'd be interested in returning to EF if the SIDC could organise a day there. Please just copy the list, paste it into your post and add your name on the end. I'l start it off with a few that I know would definitely be interested.

1. Simon
2. DDTB (tedbakerman)
3. Ed
4. Andy G
5. rossybee

What is the opinion of this track for a beginner? If you lot think it'll be ok (and I can sort out a date for my KH training!) I'll come along.

Well there's no dates yet so get booked on a KH day anyway :)
I reckon it's fine for a beginner, Ross, Greg and Andy (Aitken) all seemed to get on fine.

Do marshalls require any special training or approval or can anyone do it? I know where I can find ~200 personnel, easily bribed with beer....

Rich,

To be honest I don't really know BUT if we are to use someone like SIDC who are members of the association of track day organisers I would think they would need to certified.

If it's just an "activity" day then we could probably get away with volunteers.

We'd still need to get hold of sufficient flags (might be able to get some from work) and some radios for the marshalls to keep in touch.

We'd also need to book/hire a recovery truck & an ambulance.

Cheers

pah, ambulance. If you saw DDTB coming towards you to give mouth to mouth, you'd wake up quick smart, no need for an ambulance

I'll ask the first responce lot here if you like, not sure if they will be enough though.
(Not saying we'll need medics, but if anyone does they had better be good!)
