What a difference a season makes though.
Not so long ago Alonso was the golden boy bringing Renault untold riches, and transforming the image, interest in, and no doubt revenue from, F1 in Spain, where bike racing was always more popular.
Give the guy a break, we all have bad projects, let's see what he can do in a new setting

.......as you need to wear shoes to drive in F1

This may be true, but would you fit in an F1 car?!?...
This is the reason why I am not a multiple world champion by now

That article says that a seat @ red bull is likely, but I thought they had already re-negotiated with Webber & DC... ??
I have no signature.

Pretty sure they have, one of the drivers, prob Crazy Dave, would have to make way for the stroppy one.

Button is the new Crazy Dave Coulthard of mediocrity, although at least CDC won a few races from time to time.

Ron Dennis is in fact an old friend, and although he tried to get me onboard with a £20million a year contract, I explained that I did not want to downgrade cars.
Mentioned McApe as a substitute, but he said that he only wanted the best.........

I wonder what of MacLaren next year... I'm sure a lot of their resurgence this year was down to Alonso. If they go for Rosberg or Heikki to work alongside Hamilton can two inexperienced pilots really drive a team forward?
I'm with Campbell. Not so long ago everyone was hailing Alonso for breaking the Schumacher dominance with a team that came from nowhere. Be interesting to see what happens next year.
