Yeah, 'cos I guaranteed loans of Andy's cars for life by spading the RLC into a skip, didn't I?

Who wouldn't trust Shug? (The skip incident I must have missed, surely the skip was to blame though? Notorious road hogs skips, if it didn't actually jump into Shug's path I'm sure it was positioned inconsiderately).

Now although I've met Shug I don't really know him but now as I think about it he didn't really strike me as the responsible type. I think you are probably making the right decision.
If you are going to lend it to anyone you should only lend it to someone who is trustworthy.
Someone responsible.
Someone who can afford to replace it if he (or she) scratched it (although what's to scratch - there isn't any bodywork).

It would be tempting to fall into the trap of thinking you should only lend it to someone you know, rather than say someone with whom your only contact with is through an essentially anonymous Internet forum but this would be a mistake. If, for example, your Dad was to damage it it is possible that he would not be able to afford to repair it, or that you would not want to ask him for fear of jeopardising your clearly close relationship. If you were to lend it to someone who you only knew through a forum such as this then you would no such qualms.

If Shug damaged one of your cars (again) your business relationship may suffer. Something neither of you wants.

No clearly (and I think you will agree I have demonstrated this beyond reasonable doubt) you should lend it to someone responsible (did I mention I'm an air traffic controller, widely perceived as a responsible profession, a profession that positively encourages a healthy avoidance of risk), someone who you don't know too well, thus obviating the risk of jeopardising a close relationship. Someone who can use the word "obviating" in a sentence. Someone who can offer you the use of something quite unlike the Atom whilst the Atom is in their tender care. Something with a wireless, air conditioning, 5 seats and a boot. Something you have never, even in your wildest dreams, imagined driving*.

ME!!!

Would it be to much to ask for you to deliver it? Will I get a child seat in it? Does it have a towbar (I sometimes need to go to the tip and I can think of few things funnier than doing a run in an Atom, trailer in tow).

*Specifically a Citroen Xsara diesel. I'd lend you the Elsie but you aren't insured.

(Nizzy don't distract him with competing offers, I'm pretty sure Andy is going to go for my impeccable logic, don't worry I'll take you out in it, we can pop round and see Ken, and maybe Alan and Woody. In fact, Ken, if you are reading this we can nip down to Wigan I'm sure we both have some mates down there who would love a shot in it!!!! Errm pax only obviously Andy - don't worry about the insurance I've TPO on other people's cars.)

I owe you one mate ;0)

Still you letting me have a shot in that cost me a fortune in the end! Was the start of the Atom thinking process!

In NYC, well Jersey City actually, on the balcony looking over the marina, and NYC on an awesome day - what am i itching for..... my f***ing Atom - the roads are dry here!

Went out to the garage this week and found myself laughing at the Atom - couldn't belive it was really there!
