Booked and paid as well.

Same place as last time will do me, although anywhere with a bar will do.

Edit: If we book pikey lodge early dont we get a good discount?
Booked and paid... count me in for the pikey lodge or wherever..... :thumbsup

Here's your restaurant guys:

And here's your pikeylodge:

http://www.premierinn.com/pti/hotelInfo ... elId=23914

I can't commit at present so maybe someone else can pick up on these this year and do the team organising & shepherding?! I think Travelinn offer a group-booking service, but I just booked online with multiple transactions I think.

Ta Campbell - remember the secret is to share and share alike - get Lisa away somewhere without the kids and then take your turn - finances permitting, it's the best way to stay sane with young kids :-)

Here here. I know its not quite the same, but Nicola is away to Las Vegas just now, so i am left looking after Bailey (the dog).

But the upside is that as soon as she had left, i was on the phone to robin and booked french frolic :D

Its a win win

Yeah, and to be totally fair, that "dog" is your's not her's, so it's not really her problem, is it ...

Just noted that my request to take my natural position in the FF7 ranks hasn't been honoured yet, mostly because they haven't received my cheque - but it will be sorted, trust me :-)

Cheers,

Thanks Robin and Neil, good advice from both :-)

For Donnie earlier this year, I did indeed send Lisa (and just Eilidh, as it was then) away to the outlaws for the weekend. Thanks for reminding me of that, it's all a bit of a blur!!

Serial Father will get back to you...

Booked for this too. Is that Scotty's 340R in the LOT pic?

When we went to Donny with Exiges.com, we used the Thistle Hotel right at the circuit. Reason for Premier Inn further up M1 - cost? And Travelodge at circuit?

Will book into whatever is consensus choice - as long as I don't have to share with 3 turbo snorers :)

Robbie & I stayed at the Hilton last time, and we have already got it booked again for next year.. It makes the weekend even more special. Fantastic evening meal, and even a better breakfast :drink Plus its only five mins drive away from Donny its self.

The Travelinn is just "tradition", Brian. First Donnie Trip for Scottish Elises in 2000, that's where we all stayed. Call it sentimentality!

It has a decent Beefeater type bar / restaurant attached, though, and is quick for access to the circuit straight down M1 but without the "plane noise + middle of nowhere" aspect of the Travelodge near the airport.

Also allows easy access to Nottingham centre, now via tram, for splendid nght out in that revered metropolis. 4550 Miles from Delhi is a great Indian. Anyway I'm going all misty eyed now so I will stop there...

Very convincing - all in favour of tradition :)
