Was considering doing this but then remembered they were quite strict on noise last year and that it's 98dB limit.

Mine was measured static at Cadwell at 103dB 4k revs. :(

Drive by test could potentially be worse as that's when the car is on boost and louder.

Just have to do FF instead.

Don

They are a bunch of twats, but then maybe I am biased after being slung off twice for 101db. Only got back on by taking N3 TUT number plate off and putting on L111 LHD, then going under the three drive by bridges in 6th.

I then went and bought a new exhaust from Geary at the Show, Sinclaires fitted it for me along with my secondary silencer box that had replaced the CAT, and the "twats squared" then flagged me down for 101.5db. Most in the pits agreed that my car was quieter than at least half a dozen that were on the track.

Changed the number plates once more, but by then the front hub bolt was knackered, and I was really pissed off, so just floored it and went past at 8600. Ignored the first black flag, but they then stepped out in front of me so I had to come in.

Then made it worse by driving the wrong way up the pit lane to report to Mission Control for my bollocking.

I was measured shortly after in France with the same setup, at 86db static.

Seems crazy given that they are right next to the airport. I was there earlier in the year with the MLR and it was a 105dB noisy day. No-one got tested as far as I am aware and there was some very loud cars there. :D

Neil

Hopefully I will be below 98db this time so that you can eat exhaust fumes........
