I've got a few copies of the order of service from today if anyone wishes - we were so far back in the queue, they'd run out by the time we reached the door, but Cameron retrieved some after the service.

Drop me a PM.

Would certainly echo Andy's comments. Some day. Katrina was astonishingly composed. The service and the golf club were both packed. What else can you say. (I guess Lawrence might expect me to deliver a review, but that somehow seems wrong so I am going to defy him for once...)

Jonathan did a great speech, Hadnt met him before, but he summed up Lawrences character brilliantly.

I particularly like the bits about Lawrence looking at the uphill road between earth and heaven as being a hill climb course, and the bit about him persuading them at the pearly gates to let him bring in the four post hoist, and also the bit about training all the angels to be marshalls!!!!

It brought a few tears to the eyes of all of us!!

I had no idea that Lawrence "coached" Jonathan, but then he alway did have a special trick of making you feel special.

His speach & Campbell's words really did turn a very somber event into something I think Lawrence would have been pround off.

We've been on holiday for the past week, so this is the first opportunity I've had to respond.

All I can add to the above is to state the obvious; Lawrence is one of those guys who you wish you had spent more time with.

What a moving day. Thanks very much to Mac and Fergus for letting me know - I would have been gutted not to be there.

Jonathan and Campbell's words were magnificent.

One of my favourite memories: Lawrence rode his bike out to my house one morning just after I had been given the all-clear to drive again after my eye problems. I jumped into the Seven and he chased me on the bike. On the big straight on the A702 back into Edinburgh we were hooning along when a pedestrian crossed the road right in front of us. We both put the anchors on but inevitably Lawrence's bike was not stopping as quickly as I was. He slewed the bike over to the right of me, missed my back wheel by inches and we both avoided the pedestrian. I looked round at him, he looked back with a huge grin on his face as he opened the throttle wide once more.

RIP Lawrence.

Very saddened to hear of this. I too was at the trackday in Scott's pic and remember the pax laps from Lawrence well, especially the feeling of nearly getting airbourne going up the straight. I know it sounds a bit silly but I won the last trial I did 2 weeks ago and would like to dedicate it to his memory as I know he owned the odd trials bike and was still interested in the sport. RIP .

Unfortunately I am just learning about this now. I deeply regret missing Lawrenceâ€™s funeral.

- Over coffee in the restaurant on a fog-bound day- didnâ€™t miss not getting on track

- The Italian restaurant in Dunfermline after an SIDC night
- The early days of Scottish Elises and the technical threads
* Karting in the same team at Raceland
* Driving his Caterham at Knockhill
* His driving tips
* Installing Nitron shocks, corner weighting the car and driving the back roads

In my last post here back in April (must get my priorities right) I reminisced on the early Elise days.

Ironically Lawrence responded â€œHappy days indeed and lots more to comeâ€
