Thats what I hope for I had a police officer drive into me bending my car in 2 (hurt alot) I pray for the day I get my own back, I'm sure it will happen. I just have to be patient.

you have to play their game to their rules and like robin say's a dictaphone is a great weapon. even if he is picking on you you did have a small plate and he has "just cause" remember whiter than white and stay calm when you get stopped.

why not send them a sarcastic Christmas card.

bringing out a dictaphone, getting numbers will get them on your back more. just remember to stay calm and wait for them to make the mistake not you

If they do continue with the harrasment and it's not justified a calm head and patience will pay off in the end and it will taste all the sweeter for it

In that case ask them to sign your own pre-printed form, fill in the details of time date and write down their number - they cannot refuse, IMO.

Sadly J33 AMA, I think the only problem you have is that you drive a highly desirable car, costing at least a policeman's salary, and it is obviously your pride and joy.

In this day and age, the age you are, and particularly where you live your are always going to get some jealous ar**hole either putting a key up the side, or if he is a policeman doing you for whatever he can.

Fortunately most of us usually get away with having a small numberplate, or even no numberplate at the front (Brigita,, saw you on the M80 the other day!!!) but you tick the boxes for being young, bright coloured attractive sportscar, using it every day, and attracting the wrong attention.

Move up to Perthshire, you will be a hero, and most of the police will only stop you to ask about the car, or even to cadge a shot!!! I have had the assistant Chief Constable of Central out in my 340r, with an illegal exhaust, and a month out of date road tax!!, and I certainly wasn't keeping below 70 tuts!!!

However I think you will have to go legal on the numberplate front, and don't do anything to attract the wrong attention, and get up to Knockhill and thrash the nuts offi it!!!

Keep enjoying the car, you have the best!!!!

How come you changed over ? Forced to or personal prefererance?

Mines aint even as small as yours was!

I am currently scouring the net to see what kind of penaltys I can get if I keep it on .

To be honest I really cant be arsed changing it , took me so long to get it on right and I think I might damage my splitter in the process . Considering some sort of legal velcro attatched plate in the boot ready for when they stop me, and just accepting any fines they give me unless they become substantial or they threaten to confiscate my plate.

I refuse to be beaten by this little wanker , my plate aint that small you could easily read it from quite a distance. My back plate is legal size , motorbikes dont even need a front plate !

I know I am fighting a losing battle, I am just so worked up bout this at the moment, barrhead police are a joke. When I went down to the police station , I parked the car in the station as I have always done and many other do. This other smarmy cnut who has also pulled me before comes out and asks me to move my car , it was 1045pm , place was empty. He also had this stupid grin on his face :x Total scumbag

Awaits stop whinging and change the plate comments .....

Anyway , I know I will have to change it in the end but its good to get a rant in !

My EGO plate is now on the volvo in full size.
7 doesn't wear a front one...could you imagine how big it would look?? :?

To be fair, going by the monthly 7s magazine..all 7 owners have beards....then there's Jason and RossyB from here who have them...and thinforth...well when he hits puberty. :P
