7's can be had for 30k and a 9 for 70, must be at least a 1- 2k hit a month? on depreciation?
Nice run around all the same.

Simply the most beautiful just-popping-down-to-the-south-of-France-GT-cruiser-sort-of-thing ever made, and one of the most beautiful cars in the world full stop.
The DB9 is pretty in a way nothing else on the road today can match (in my opinion - beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all...).
I love the Vanquish and Vantage V8, and they are both probably more fun to drive, but they just don't *quite* make me tingle as much as a DB9 and who the heck would buy an Aston for the driving fun? Surely that's R8/997 or F430/Gaylardy territory.
Astons are about the effortless power-cruising and sheer jaw-dropping staggering handsome thoroughbred-ness.
How many other cars have their own fridge on the Top Gear Cool Wall?

I love the look of it. I never understand how some cars get the 'old man' label - very few youngsters (the term is relative anyway) can afford such highly priced metal.
IMO, if you stay away from the silvery green/maroon type colours and go for a nice black, it'll look the absolute baws.
I'm not a fan of the vantage, it just looks quite petite and makes me think that the guy in the driver's seat can't afford a real one, and should've bought a 911 C2S (with the yellow calipers, natch - can't be seen dead with the pikey red ones
)

Nice, but this side of 50 I'd rather have a V8, and prefer them to the 911, mostly down to the interior.
Still, the DB9 is one of the best looking cars on sale today, and like Greg says it's the price that keeps younger buyers out of them mainly. Surely they wont depreciate like a DB7? They looked (and apparently drove) very dated almost overnight.

My 40 yr old "Golfing cousin" had one for three weeks and repetitively broke trim/electrics/switchgear.... .......He got his money back in full from the dealer
Another friend currently has his on SOR (sale or return) in a local showroom and has seen his car take a £40k hit........so far!!!
You want depreciation?
How about a Maybach
