Fecking puddles eh. Looks like some bad field runoff? Very unlucky sir. Aquaplane = passenger!

Good to see you posting lucidly about it all, make the most of some time off sick and when you get your cheque, bank half of it for the future premiums and spend the other half on an S1 ;-)

Ricky glad to see that you are still here after that crash, so bloody scary seeing those photos.

Its not been a good few weeks for Lotus ownership however we are all here to tell the tale.

Have you been to hospital and got your self checked out :?:

Take care mate.

Just seen this Ricky. Really sorry to hear about it and glad you're in one piece - they are tough little cars (as I found out last year) and quite a few of us owe our limbs and maybe even lives to them. I think you might be the latter!

Take at least a few days off work and relax. Get driving again as soon as possible (best thing I did after the crash!) and spend time with friends/family. The shock was really weird for me as I'd never really experienced it before and I just found being around people helped loads.

Try not to run it over in your head though . . . Clearly no mistake of yours and just terrible luck!

Good luck with the insurance stuff and get yourself another Lotus as soon as they pay out! :thumbsup

Wow... Glad you're OK. Winter is always crunch-season, but you really did it in style!

Take it easy,

Cheers guys, feeling a bit better today (mentally anyway, very sore neck and back).

Ken, got checked over by the ambulance on site, said i should be fine, if im still sore tomorrow a'll go get checked out at the local A&E.

Dezzy, positive the car saved my life yesterday, any other car, dont think i would have walked away, certainly not with the minimal amount of injuries i had anyway.

As said cheers for the support and words of encouragement guys, means alot :)

Going to the yard where the car is being stored today to get back what little possesions will still be in the car, will take some more pictures of it on its wheels and let you guys see. Not really looking forward to see'ing it in the sorry state that im sure it will be in, but never mind, live and learn, im just glad im okay, cars insured, can and will be replaced.

And as has been said on here numerous times but once more wont hurt, take care out there guys, accidents can and will happen, would hate to see anybody have a similar accident.

the fact you walked away from that one may well be the best thing that happens to you period, let alone in 2008!

Reminds me of Robins Stelvio prang
