J33ma, I didn't think the pedal in the S2 exige is the same design - if your car is out of warranty you need to establish whether or not the pedal design is the same before buying the kit!

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks folks, that's very helpful.

P.S. Mac, that coolant problem was HGF  but got it fixed for a reasonable sum.

BTW I was not impressed with the trunnion kit, it didn't seem to fit in the bearings properly, that said I didn't actually fit it so I can't really comment on how well it works. A bit of steel bar, a Biggest Nizzy and a couple of cheap sealed bearings would do a much better job, its not exactly a complicated mechanism...

True, in all fairness nothing else has ever gone wrong with the car and this is a common problem on elises at 47k miles - unfortunately :D

I fitted the brass bush about 18 months ago, the difference in the pedal feel was amazing! Pig of a job but apparantly the nylon bush is wearing away the aluminium pedal all the time so best replaced at some point.

That's because I fix all the fun jobs that the previous owner left me - including the "add lightness" job when I had to remove half a field :D
