Had the same problem, however MMC in Edin changed the locks rather than oil etc - common fault??

Well if they've seen it before they should know how to fix it. Now I'm even less impressed.

A bit workshy over at Shields Road methinks.

Yup, I suggested they changed thebarrells this time and the guy sort of snorted and said we'll just wait and see what the problem is shall we?

Interesting to see if he has a better attitude with my bro who is taking the car in on weds, cos I'm out of the country.

The barrel is the bit the actual key enters and so it would probably be the button that sticks

HTH :)

It's the bit the key goes into I'm talking about ...?? It's also a button. Hmm. All very confusing.

Also more than a tad embarrassing when trying to make a quick getaway as a crowd with cameraphones starts to form around the car and you cannie get the door to close.

Yeah - I've had folk walk past 355's in the harbour at monaco to photograph my car.

It's great to see the look of disappointment in their faces when they see me get into it

If you are the first owner then you should have had a recall note from the factory if your car is affected?

Hmm.

Well they've ordered new locks for both doors, and obviously a new ignition barrel too, as it'll be new keys all round.

You'd think they'd just have done it before they handed it over, save everyone a bit of bother.

Never mind.
