Sports Cat?

I still like the Larini - noticable but not intrusive on part throttle, and loud as Feck on full chat.

Ninja your car is a K isnt it? In that case Id need to recommend a listen to DDtBs exige(janspeed?) exhaust which always sounds on the edge of exploding(in a good way) :thumbsup

That's an S1 exhaust though - the S2 version isn't quite so........nice.

Our neighbours must have loved when Mandy & I started up the elises on an early Saturday morning for SIDC days.

You've heard the one fitted to our S2 - that's with a sports cat and I think it's loud enough to be noticed, but not soo loud to attract attention.

Sports cat will pass an MOT with no issues. The exhaust is a Janspeed, think it might be the roadsport version.

The novelty soon wears off. However it can work on some engines, with the Honda VTEC an average S/S exhaust can be fairly quiet on the first cam and when cruising, but on the track when the second cam comes in it can sound completetly different.

I had a Bell & Colvill S/S backbox and S/S straight through decat (not a sports CAT) which constanly popped and burbled. It was already on the car when I got it and came as part of the infamous B&C Super 140 package

Lovely sound and was also loud, not as loud as JJ's though

The original N1 TUT was a Bell & Colville 140, same exhaust and CAT pipe, very soon upgraded to 180hp, and I think that was one of the best sounding exhausts that I have heard.

In fact I still have a photo of it.

No one wanted to be behind me at TT07 due to the noise and the fumes :( Folk would think I was changin gear when it was really just a slight dab of the throttle!
Cat's been on since the last MOT and long drives to Preston every month so it's now at relatively sane levels.

The new Elise Parts one is now very tame for the English track noise levels.
