Greg,

I was in the white R. I hope nothing I did caused your problems?

It had wee blue flames coming out at one point down through Duffus and in to the chicane - was very cool :D

That might have been part of the reason for the 85 litre fuel usage - thats still making me laugh :damnfunny

Gutted.

I was having the trackday of my life, when out of the car waiting for it to cool down I was like an excited puppy sniffing heat. The track was providing grip everywhere and I thought I was going as quick as I ever have at KH thanks in no small part to the input of a certain N McKean. Even when I was out in the Atom with Mr G I was thinking I wanted to get back out and drive myself!

Then the tyres. Whoever was in the white 111R was ahead of me whilst I had Jamie (Hi Jamie btw :wavey) as a pax. We were hitting the chicane flat in 3rd and the 111R dabbed the brakes. I lifted and the car took a wee dive left and there was an almighty crunch. Damage aint too bad and as Mr Shooomer said, you wear it with pride! Would've made a great photo - anyone catch it?!

Then engine death. Not much to say really but sounds like some terminal non-maintenance from me ... how fecking hard is it to check the oil!?! :x

Cracking day out, the scooby and evo etiquette was the best I've ever seen not holding up anywhere and moving over at the first opportunity. Huge thanks to John for organising.

Off to tear my hair out (again). Any more piccies of my wee car ? Black (numberplate-less) S1.

Cheers guys
You Ironsided your engine? Oh man, that sucks - I really feel for you. There's no worse feeling in the world than when you know it's your own fault. Here's hoping it's only a few shells and that you got it turned off quick enough.

I had a great day on Saturday, weather was perfect and definately not as forecast! The car felt really planted after I played around with the tyre pressures and it was intresting to drive my mates yellow Honda S2000 as a comparisim. Managed about 100 laps and loved every minute of it . Cheers to Dan at JPS for the new brakes :thumbsup

Richie.....you'll be finding gravel in that car for months to come.....so nearly the save of the day but judging by the smile on your face you had a ball. :D
Yellow S2 135R # 116 - sold - replacement soon....maybe

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

A bit late I know, but work has kept me away from SE since last weekend.

I had a fantastic time on Sat, with the exception of spinning out in front of Tut (whilst heading backwards kept thinking if this was going to be "the" gravel trap which the briefing said would flip you ) but all good. I believe there may be some evidence of this floating about  .

It was good to meet everyone, and hope to repeat the experience soon. Unfortunately looks like won't be able to make the next SIDC as I'm already booked on an off-roading challenge for that weekend (slightly slower paced - we usually manage about 2 miles in a day and a half up a very boggy mountain on the west).

Thanks to everyone for their advice and encouragement. Think this might be a bug that stays in the system for a while, grin certainly has  .

Looks like we did a fair bit of lapping together Rog..........

tut (yellow Elise, N3 TUT)

ps That was some sound that my car made when I was coming past. Sounded like induction as opposed to exhaust.

Not a lot you can do about the bug Jon, cept enjoy it.

That was a nice little spin going down Duffus, was not sure at first if it was you or Mass, but no prob, adds to the adrenelin.

Stewart got the whole sequence, so you could ask him for them. He said that he did not post them to save your blushes, but we all spin at times, so no reason not to share them.

tut

"Thanks. That is the first of a serious of 11 but thought better of posting them to save the blushes of the owner.

Stewart"
