I just cant get my head round the Europa, not sure if I would have one?.

Lawrence classed it as a S2VX?

Strikes me as quite a sensible move for you, as long as you keep the 340R. Would make a great daily driver, and lets face it you'll never track it or road-run it while you've got a 340R in the garage, so what does it matter if it's a bit heavy and soft? Might be harder to sell on than a 240Cup though...?

Good sensible thinking IMO.

just don't like them at all - think it looks like a korean coupe.

I'd be in any other model of Lotus ahead of that mate

Atom 4 - CM425
Lotus Esprit S4S
G30 M5 Comp
Ferrari 599
Lotus Elise S1 "Shed" spec

Agreed, I just do not take to it, and if you did decide to take it at any time to a distant trackday because you could not face the weather, I doubt if you would be happy with its performance.

With the price drop of the S/C Exiges at the moment they seem a better bet, comfort and performance, and Craig is already planning on the two upgrades that would take him upto 285hp.

I'm trying to figure out if it's interior is trimmed in leather, or the skin of a Weegie nedette. :D

In the past I have said I did not like Europa's . Saw one on the M8 a few weeks back and though it looked great in Gun Metal colour. If I had the cash I would buy it .

To complement the 340rR it makes a lot of sense - as fast as you ever need for the road and very habitable for a daily driver. Can you get them serviced at a VX dealer... ;)

Saying that, if you go soft where do you stop?

:) You wouldn't want to get a VX serviced at VX dealer so taking a Europa in would be a very, very bad idea (although I'm sure they'd find lots of different bits to break).

I wasn't keen on Europas until I saw a grey one on the road coming towards me at speed. Looked much, much better in the flesh than the photos I'd seen :thumbsup

Like wise ,never rated them untill i saw a black one twice in the same week , looked 8) as.

Love it or hate it , I'am loving that interior minus the gay pouch on center consol.

When I done the factory tour a few weeks ago, the place was chocked to the rafters with Elise's and Exige's but I could see no Europa's. Right at the end of the tour I eventually clocked one solitary Europa sitting in the corner looking sorry for itself. I quizzed the guy about this and he admitted that it had been a total disaster but said it was Proton who forced the car through and nobody at Lotus wanted to do it. He almost seemed embarrased to talk about it.

I don't think it's a bad car in isolation but unlikely to tempt someone out of their Elise/Exige and unlikely to temp buyers to jump ship from Cayman/Boxster/TT/350Z so in that respect, it sits in no mans land. And it's too expensive.
