You are on the track on your own, free to drive at your own pace with nothing else to distract you (such as passing traffic, concerns about holding people up etc). It is a great way to enjoy your car because it feels much faster than it really is. It is also very safe. Over the 2 days I was there recently the worst I saw was a couple of people on the grass with no damage or even that much excitement to be honest). It is easy to drive it reasonably fast, but very difficult I suspect to break the lap record!

It is good for passengers because it feels fast. Mine all seemed to enjoy themselves anyway.
Great to hear that, thanks! :thumbsup I've done a few track days in the old Elise, but good to hear that for my first trackday in the Exige. It's also Heds' first ever trackday, and that's exactly why I recommended it to her . . . being on your own on track means you can take it at your own pace. :thumbsup

I can't wait! Really looking forward to it!

Thanks for all the info Woody!

Just an early heads up......I may be unable to do this........I have managed to scatch the surface of my eye and have had my eye taped shut all weekend.....with adding drops and rubbing a cream onto my eye every few hours......finally managed to open my eye today and the whole world is a blur!
Sadly it is my dominant eye and my left is almost blind anyway!
So its not looking good....if you excuse the pun.

Right this typing has made me feel dizzy.....away to lie down now!

Half 9 for a 10am start, until 4pm.

There may well be a space available now as Ed has also had to pullout. Meatball is not completely sure yet.

Hi Guy's
:welcome :welcome :welcome
Good to see so many of you are keen to come along to Kames at the weekend :welcome we are looking forward to having you and maybe seeing the Legendery Tut in his usual racing footware I hope [ My son used to think he was amazing, he was about 10 at the time] The fact that he was getting a run in a race car with a television in the passengers side showing him where he was heading had he been big enough to see out and that he had Meatloaf Bat Out Of Hell playing the same time had nothing to do with it!!! He is now nearly 17 and is taking part in Track days himself has been since he turned 14 and was allowed to drive on the track, although he works at the weekends now so will be restricted to track nites :( :( more track time for me though  :thumbsup Good also to catch up with Woody who was our Social Sec for a few years, you'd think we stayed 100 miles away and not 5, these days are the only times we get a chance to catch up with him as well.
I'll be up at Kames for 9 and the cafe will be open around then as well which will give you a chance to have breakfast etc before the fun starts.
Dont worry about the track being difficult  if I can drive it so can you :o lol you'll love it :D :D

See you all on 26th

We'll probably be a little late, it's been a LONG few weeks recently and it's a long haul down from Perth . . . that's also assuming we can get a full tank of diesel for the towcar before leaving . . . If there is trouble getting fuel I'll have to bail and go to Forrestburn only . . . but we'll see how much chaos there is towards the end of the week . . .
