TBH, I'm not sure, esp now they've re-layed it. What was it the other weekend? I'd guess first opening cor cars on track; it always used to be.fd wrote:Cool . . . first entrance into the trailer park or second one (up and round the corner) both open ?

No chance you might beat my times.Andy G wrote:Can i use your carBigD wrote:I'll try and remember and bring my spare helmet too.![]()
Looks like it could be damp.

Oh, ok then as long as you promise not to try too hard.

Re: SE Kames day *26th April*
Woody has kindly offered me a place, so will be doing this now after all
(bad luck Ken, hope the car is sorted soon!)
The Archos is really easy to setup so can be transferred between cars easily, and I'm sure if you speak nicely to AndyG he might suggest where you could buy one...

Re: SE Kames day *26th April*
Probable Bail . . .
I may have to slot in some tango maintainance before Sunday after some inspection work last night turned up a possible issue on the car . . . possibly damaged dry sump pump belt and I may have a rear wheel bearing away (this was an 'in trailer' check last night so not definative but I'm usually not too far wrong) . . . thankfully I have spares for both, but not enough time to change before Sat and re-setup the car . . . If there's a reserve list bump me now then I can sleep in and fettle the car for Forrestburn on Sunday with less pressure . . . I could bring the Elise but that still leaves me with some time issues . . . happy to bow to someone who can definately make it . . .
Woody, just process the EACC side of things if you haven't already (haven't noticed), they run good events and I'm happy to support them

Re: SE Kames day *26th April*
Kames: The final plan.
Be there for 9.30 for a 10am start - Everyone, inc those who are only going pax must be signed on before going on track. Anyone on track must be wearing a helmet. We will change the track direction at about 1pm, and the last run will be at 4pm.
The layout, entry, exit and direction will be explained prior to anyone going on the track. 3 laps, and off to join the queue again.
The canteen will be open from the back of 9 and will be available for breakfast, lunch and something to eat throughout the day.
The cost of the day is as follows; track hire £350 + Public liability insurance £175 = £525 We now have 27 from SE confirmed as going on track. I will round this up to £21 per person to make things easier on the morning, so those who have already paid the £10 deposit will only have £11 to pay on the day. This will also cover us for another two cancellations, should the numbers drop further. The money I am left with from the rounding up, I will donate to the MS society charity, assuming this is ok with everyone. Those who have not paid EACC membership will also have another £20 to pay on top of the £21.
The postcode for Kames is KA18 3QQ. As you head up Furnace Road from the main road through Muirkirk you will pass a caravan park on the right, pass this and as the road turns right heading to the old institute clock-tower building, take the turn to the right that opens through the sandstone wall, and you are at the track. Please keep the speed sensilbe on the drive up to the track - it's the one thing the locals do complain about. There are a couple of paddock areas, we'll be using the top paddock in front of the clubhouse, it should be big enough for us.
Obviously, with the current climate, the best Idea is to be fully fuelled before leaving. There is a petrol station on the main road through Muirkirk Village, though what supplies and prices will be is anybody's guess.
As mentioned above, the EACC chairman and vice chairman will be on hand throughout the day, the latter with his own car as well and I think the entire ABC rallying entourage may well be heading up with him. Apparently, EACC have also put the event in their listings in the local papers, so there may well be a few spectators, which leads me to mention, the speeds limit in the paddocks is 10mph.
After the trackday is over, for those heading for Killiebeers, we’ll just head down to mine to dump the cars and stuff that has to be dumped, before heading up to Killie for 5.45pm.
