Best gearbox oil / mixture to use for Torsen LSD?

Post by Gaz-M » Mon Apr 28, 2008 4:11 pm

Hi folk's, i've fitted a Torsen T-2 (Type B) limited slip diff to my gearbox and im not sure what oil would be the best.

I know you get different oil for LSD gearboxes but which is best?

Also, i see in Demon Tweeks that there is LSD gear oil and also a seperate bottle of fluid that can be added to change the sort of 'brutality' of the diff!?

Whats my best bet, the car is small and front wheel drive with around 200BHP and is used as a fast road/ track car.

Thanks for any advice.

Gaz.

Gaz,

Have a google for Miller oils and give them a call - they are very friendly and helpful.

The Pg1 box uses a specific fluid, I assume that's got something to do with the Torsen option.

Find the recommended oil for a Rover 220 Turbo gearbox and use that, or an equivalent ;)
