Thanks to ALI at SLS

Post by Andy G » Mon May 12, 2008 3:48 pm

Hi

As Ali is a good mate, i normally forget to thank him for helping me out yet again, out of hours, and going out of his way for me.

not this time.

The Atom needed it sorted for the Motorshow, oil and filter change Thursday night, and on Friday morning it became clear it also needed its tracking sorted!

TNT ballsed up getting the 48's and rear brakes to me..........

The result, Friday afternoon, Ali managed to get the tracking sorted, lent me the van to get me back to the office to continue chasing TNT. I Ended up taking the van to the TNT depot and collecting the tyres and getting to SLS at 8pm.

Ali fitted the rear pads in minutes and then went off to get one of his mates to sort the tyres for us!

Net result, i ruined Ali's Friday night, with us leaving at 11pm!

Sunday morning - looks like a CV joint failure on the Atom, but Ali is on his way as he's in fife. Diagnosis is a wheel bearing collapasing rough love stylee and we try to find a solution. No such luck!

Could you find a better chap to help in car fuelled lunacy! (I'm lucky as i know Robin also  ) :thumbsup :thumbsup

Wore the SLS badges on the Atom this weekend with pride - thanks SO much mate!

Oh, and Rio prestige are delivering the car to him tomorrow morning, so he can replace the bearings :thumbsup

He is a good Lad. Helped me out at short notice when the shed failed a couple of times. And sorted me a new front wheel after Nick Kaye buckled one of mine.

When i eventually get a new elise, it'll be going to ali for a checkup, and will be getting serviced there forever more. :thumbsup

Phone him or text him - that is always the best way to get hold of him! He is very busy but will get back to you quicker that way.

As said previously several of us here on this site would have been completely stuck without his help! I would have missed TT2007 without him and we all know how much fun I would have missed there. :thumbsup

Yup, snap. Only had one service off him so far, but superb.
Reading your post is what makes him different from others and hopefully always will be. Well done Ali

Maybe we can get some SLS rear window stickers made up in suitable Elise sizes, i'd happily stick one in my window when I get it back given the time he'll have spent it's once it's finished!
